The A160 Turbine Hummingbird

The A160 Turbine (A160T) Hummingbird made by Boeing reached two key milestones one passing 100 hours in flight the second getting its transmission to change gears in flight. Boeing performed the tests under a $5 million bridge contract with the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

The A160T Hummingbird is 35 feet long with a 36-foot-diameter rotor and has reached speeds of up to 142 knots to date. What roles it will play in the United States Military are still unclear but with many attachments for unmanned vehicles already available this new Hummingbird could be very lethal.

The X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System

The X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System for the Navy made by Northrop Grumman The X-47B is to operated from the flight decks of US Navy aircraft carriers, able to carry out entire missions including air-to-air refuelling without any pilot input what so ever. And with its robot brain its able to conduct a mission using live weapons without needing to communicate with other pilots or supervisors from its aircraft carrier. The X-47B also has a much longer range than a normal carrier jet and uses Stealth technology.

The X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System is no doubt the best UAV made in 2008 and should prove to be a very worthy asset to the United States Navy.

Using a mannequin and VR goggles and team of scientists have been able to trick the mind of users by using real touch along with a virtual world to first make the users believe they are being touched than they only touch the mannequin and the user thinks it is there own body,

The system got hacked but is back

A while ago I noticed my comments we missing from my WordPress blog than I noticed I could not even leave a comment on my blog even after upgrading the comments were still messed up so i had to do a export and remove the old blog and install a fresh new install of WordPress in order to get them to work again.

The whole ordeal was quite a pain in the butt to deal with but now everything seems to be working again and I am digging this new WordPress 2.7 so maybe it was for the best! You know how everything happens for a reason!
